Fun on the couch side-effects

This was yesterday. Have you ever seen a child more pleased than Isabelle about going to PCMC for a doctor appt? She's had the best attitude ever about her broken arm. (For all you that don't know- she broke her arm above her elbow falling off the couch last week. She fell all of two feet. Yes, they have that song "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed/Couch" for a good reason!)

Isabelle today, pre-surgery. Good attitude hanging on, even after a change into hospital attire. I'm a little jealous; when I stay at the hospital all I get is a blue faded drape that dons no ferris wheel or carnival tent. She also got cotton candy gas. Seriously good stuff. She is doing well and we're glad she's back home. Great job Is!

I can't believe the crazy ways kids can break bones. Natalie broke hers falling off my bed. Glad she is OK.

What a smile! I think she's happy because she doesn't have a clue what the bill will be.

Oh wow! I had no idea. Poor thing. I'm glad she's doing well and she's a trooper to have a good attitude.

What a trooper! I am glad to hear everything went well. I just got back from the insta-care with Abbey...we thought she broke her finger. What is going on???

She had to have surgery for a broken arm?! How sad for her. I have never had the pleasure of breaking a bone, so I guess I shouldn't talk. Hope she is doing ok!

I didn't realize she broke it above her elbow...ouch!! She looks like the best little patient...smiles and all. I'm glad everything went OK.

Did you give her a little bell to ring when she needs something? Does she know how to use the remote? This might be a good time to teach her!! Good Luck! I hope she feels better soon!

What a brave kid. This is something she can brag about in years to come--unlike some of us who never had the broken bones stories to share...

I'll try to keep the toughest parts a secret, because so far it seems like the medication helped her forget...

My favorite moment of the day: she had a hard time recovering that smile after the anesthetic wore off, and I realized later why, when she said "Daddy, when will I have my surgery?" You don't know how glad I was to be able to say "It's already done!"

Isabelle is so cool. Will people get to sign her cast? If so, forge my signature, will you? It would make her so happy. . .

cotton candy gas? life is SOOO much better for kids these days!

I love that she has such a perky smile - when H broke her arm she didn't smile so much (granted, she was only 1... not old enough to smile through the tears)

Both of my kids have had surgeries there--it is such a great place! Hope she isn't down too long.
