Interesting scenes

We went to Sam's Club Friday and saw the polygamists! There were 3 women, 1 baby, and 1 man. It makes all the sense in the world that they are buying bulk but I previously thought they lived in southern Utah and NV? I followed them closely but acted like I was uninterested in them so I could see them au natural. They didn't seem self-conscious...and they like free samples too! We do have a lot in common.

I'm proud of my artistic snapshot. I'm lovin' these fall colours. The reservoir is my secret weapon to reel in any out-of-towner.

We have some cousins whose parents take exotic getaways so Grandma is doing the Mom thing for a while and we get to hang with the chillun's. Fall is still going strong and I am so happy....

They were naked??? How else could you see them 'au natural'? And how did you know they weren't just a man and his wife and two other ladies who were just using him for his Sam's Club card?
The resevoir is fun and all, but once SF gets that Target going you won't be able to keep the visitors away.

I think our locals must have been visiting your neck of the woods... but "au natural"? isn't it a bit cold for that?

I have to check your blog regularly so I can get my daily dose of the giggles! They must have been newbies having only one baby and all don't ya think? Those are definitely pretty pictures! You should be so proud!

I am always surprised when I see poly's in utah county. They don't ever seem self conscious. I sure would, dressed like that. So now you know I am shallow and care what others think. Oh well!

Very nice pictures!!!!!

Love the fall photo ops! Wow. It took me a minute to realize I wasn't the family member that takes exotic trips! Darn it!

I will be takin' a lot more trips to SF if they get that Target, and Costco, what happened to that rumor?

About the poly's. There is no mistaking them Megz! You just can't dress like a pioneer these days and get away with it. I'm curious too. I hope you were able to use your good spying/eavesdropping skills?
What were they buying??? Who were they going to vote for???

We were at a hotel in Lincoln City, OR in June and we saw polygamists too. It was such a surprise. Who knows where you'll run into them?! Like you, I was fascinated by them. I made sure not to stare but I was curious to see how they acted, how they interacted. We were eating breakfast by the front lobby and they were getting ready to leave...they piled into a big huge van and were gone.

I don't know about Target/Costco anymore. I think we'll be getting another dollar store (ugh) and sports supply store (yipee); nothing more.

I love the artistic picture, and am impressed that you are hosting your pictures on fancy online Picasa.

And once again, nobody in the world will read my comment because ain't nobody visiting this post anymore. BLAST.

I read it. So there.
I was on my way to "taste buds are the best buds" for that berry pound cake recipe--and decided to take the scenic route.

Nothing better than free entertainment! We used to live down south and they were something to see. When I was pregnant with Abbey, we started stocking up on diapers and a man sat with us in Wal-Mart and gave us the low down on what to buy and why...we didn't even question them.
